Q. What is the Dean College Global Days of Giving?
Dean's Global Days of Giving (or Giving Days) is a two day fundraising drive (online, on-campus, and on the phone) starting on February 28 and ending February 29, 2024. It is time for alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends from all over the world to come together to give back and secure the future for Dean College.
Q. When is Dean's Global Days of Giving?
Dean’s Global Days of Giving will begin 12:00 AM on February 28, 2024 and ending at 11:59 PM February 29, 2024.
Q. Who can donate?
Anyone may donate. Donations through the Global Days of Giving online portal to charitable nonprofit organizations are tax-deductible. Donations through the GiveGab portal will be received and receipted by GiveGab.
Q. What is GiveGab?
GiveGab is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy to use products that allows organizations to function in a more streamlined manner.
Q. Where does my gift go?
Gifts go where YOU decide. You may choose to designate your gift to scholarships, student activities, the school or program you love, to Dean Athletics, to Dean College overall, or to any fund. Just click “Donate” and select where you’d like to designate your gift.
Q. I want to give to Athletics. Will the Battle of the Bulldogs (BoB) happen during this time?
Yes! There is $1,500 up for grabs for this athletics team participation challenge.
Q. Can I participate in the Giving Day if I did not graduate from Dean?
Yes! Students, parents, faculty/staff, and friends are encouraged to support the College during Giving Days. When prompted in the giving form, you select the role with which you most closely affiliate with. The gifts of many come together to support the transformational College experience for every student in a big way.
Q. What forms of donations are accepted?
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay donations received through the website on the Giving Days are accepted. Wire and stock transfers are accepted as well. You can learn more here.
Q. Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt acknowledging your gift.
Q. Is there a minimum gift?
There is a $5 minimum donation.
Q. Will my gift – if made in advance of the Giving Day – help populate the leaderboards?
Yes! Gifts made in advance of Giving Days through dean.edu/give (and in response to Giving Day communications) will be displayed on the leaderboard when it goes live at 12:00 AM on February 28, 2024.
Q. Is my payment secure?
Absolutely - Global Days of Giving is facilitated by GiveGab, a company who has partnered with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification possible) to process all gifts made through givingdays.dean.edu. Read through Stripe's security documentation online.
Q. Can I send a gift by mail or phone?

Q. Does it cost anything to give through Giving Days? How much of my donation will the Dean College receive?
Every donation will be assessed a 3.5% platform fee. If your gift is made through a major credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express), an additional fee of 2.5% and a flat fee of $.30 will be charged. For ACH gifts, the minimum transaction is $100 and the flat fee is $3.00 per transaction. You have the option to cover these costs in addition to your gift.
Q. Can I help promote the Global Days of Giving?
Yes, please! We encourage you to share the images and messages that are located in the Ambassador Toolkit. Send an email to classmates, post on your Facebook page on Instagram, tweet, or blog. It's all encouraged!
Q. Can I use my employer's matching gifts funds?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer's generosity to enhance the impact of your support of Dean College. You can to contact your Human Resources representative for information to initiate the gift matching process.
